YOU NEED TO KNOW – #youneedtoknow (L1. Purpose)

PURPOSE

God’s Purpose

The Father’s greatest desire is for you to have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Once you have received God’s forgiveness, then you are ready to fulfill the rest of His plan for your life.

Questions ask yourself on your purpose

1. Who Am I?
You have a unique set of skills, talents and strengths that belong only to you. You have the potential to live a life where you utilize all of your natural abilities. By connecting with your values, you will learn who you are.

2. What Do I Want?
You may not know what you want right now, but taking small steps and following your heart’s nudges will guide you to clarity. Each action step you take will pull you forward. You can also return to your childhood and think about what you loved to do as a kid. Maybe you loved to write poetry or use your imagination. This might mean you value expressing yourself creatively.

3. How Can I Get There?
Take action steps each day to help pull you toward you goal. Instead of focusing on arriving, be in the journey and let the process unfold.
When you align with your truth and answer all of these questions, you will realize you have the power to leave any unhealthy situation.

What is concept of purpose?

What Is My Purpose In Life?

What is my purpose in life is a question asked by many people as they ponder the reasons for their existence. Life is the expression of the Reason for being. The Reason represents the intelligence that is within all things. For example, it is the power within a seed, when planted in the garden, grows step by step to the fulfillment of its reason for being. Everything has a purpose, a time and a season. Autumn is a wonderful example of the fulfillment of many plants as we enjoy the abundance of fruits and vegetables that are harvested at this time in the cycles or seasons of life.
The real you is your inner purpose. When you took your first breath of life, you became a living being. The time of birth determines the quality of the power within you and reveals your purpose in life. Kabalarians call that purpose the birthpath.

I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are no accidents; we’re all teachers – if we’re willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some miracle to come knocking at our door.

Success Stories on purpose

Casadaro Shearrod, 32, Washington state
Occupation: Soldier in the US Army; creator of the American Dream Ride
Purpose: “To inspire and motivate people.”
Casadaro wrote recently about his thoughts on purpose, After high school, he joined the Army, figuring “it would be cool.” Marriage and children followed. He served in far-flung locations like Korea, Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. “I just naturally went in whatever direction they sent me. I went with the flow.”
“Then I experienced a disconnect,” he says. “Like a speedboat on water. It’s flowing with the water, and then there’s a bump. As the boat goes faster and faster, it starts to leap higher and higher… and then one day I woke up, and thought, I don’t want to do this anymore!”
“I started to think about my purpose, not just for my family, my community, but for the world,” Casadaro says. He identified the joy he takes in mentoring and enhancing the lives of others, and began to think intentionally about life after the military, specifically “what kind of role model I want to be for my children.” The idea for The American Dream Ride was born. A motorcycle adventure, documentary, and blog, the Dream Ride will take Casadaro and his family cross-country, interviewing people who “live life on their own terms and create value for others.”
Now, with “every day, every action,” he asks himself, “will this thing be of benefit, not just in the near future, but in the far-off future?” If not, he puts it on the back burner.

I was given such a great gift. It’s a miracle that never stops amazing me and reminding me to give thanks, every day. Having a wife and daughter gives me a lot more purpose. I was much more selfish before, but now I think about what kind of role model I’ll be. I just want to be a better man.
